Hello, friends, Romans, and lovers of the creative, historical, queer, and macabre!
Thank you for taking the time to visit my attempted cabinet of curiosities. For anyone who may have stumbled across this blog and might be wondering who I am, my name is Emily, I’m a writer and researcher based in the UK (particularly around Brighton, Chichester, Portsmouth, and London), and I like knitting and cabaret and folklore and anything vintage.
I’m interested in a pretty diverse range of subjects, and try to write about them all when I get the chance – art, literature, history, medical humanities, politics, feminism, LGBT+ issues, mental health, critical theory, crime and punishment.
This list is pretty long, so I thought it might be helpful to create a little introduction of some of my favourite bits and pieces I’ve worked on over the last few months.
